The Mike L. Jezdimir Transverse Myelitis (TM) Foundation is a non-profit organization created to promote awareness and to raise money for the research of Transverse Myelitis. We are a grass-roots, volunteer team of family, friends and doctors that have banded together to help find a cure for this disease. TM is one of those rare orphan diseases that does not draw much attention because it is not well known. It is just one of the more than 1300 rare diseases for which there is no cure.
We are dedicated to finding a cure, discovering a prevention and helping provide a better quality of life for this rare spinal cord disease. We feel confident that by working with scientists and researchers we will one day be free from this disease which is so traumatic on patients and families.
Our profits are used for inflammatory spinal cord research around the United States and to support the Transverse Myelitis Clinic at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
